Melbourne Aquarium is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the whole of Melbourne and is situated on the corner of Queenswharf in central Melbourne. Amongst the numerous attractions at Melbourne Aquarium are the floor-to-ceiling coral tank, the enormous oceanarium (which contains more than two million litres of water), a mangrove swamp area, large sharks, sea turtles, jellyfish and there is also a simulated deep-sea ride. Established almost 150 years ago, the Royal Melbourne Zoo is actually the oldest zoo in the whole of Australia and also the world's third oldest zoo. On Thursday to Sunday between the months of January and February, the Royal Melbourne Zoo stays open until around 21:30 for its exciting Twilight concerts, featuring some of the best jazz musicians in the Melbourne area.
